Hopi
The Likatier tribe feels a deep connection with the Hopi tribe. It is a licatical goal to develop this relationship, which we have only cultivated from a distance, i.e. only in our hearts, and to establish contacts and turn it into a truly lived friendship. This idea actually originated from our own occupation with the topic "trunk". Living together in a tribal structure, this inner relationship and existential connection of the tribal members to each other and their relationship to their environment seemed to the inhabitants to be the most natural and healthy way to live together. Since there have always been traditional tribal cultures, the Licati have long since felt the need to establish contact and relationships with the traditional tribes as a "new tribe" in order to express, so to speak, an inner spiritual kinship and descendants with these old traditions.

The Likatier had not only the goal of building a worldwide movement "New Tribes", but also to initiate a friendship and cooperation with the traditional tribes and the primitive peoples. As a first step, it was considered that the Likatier would choose one of the many traditional tribes with whom they would like to build a particularly close relationship. So the likatic tribal members considered for a long time which of the many old tribes is probably most suitable for this. After careful consideration, the Likatier tribe chose the Hopi. The Hopi tribe is now considered the oldest and most traditional of the tribes of North America. Due to its very old and strict traditions and laws, the culture and spirituality of this tribe is still very originally preserved and changed only very little by external influences. At the heart of their principle of life is a deep love and devotion to the whole of creation and a respectful and humble insertion into the harmony and cycle of life.

Since the Hopi tribe has been and still is very concerned with preserving its tribal values, strangers are not allowed access and insight into both the tribal area and the deep meanings of ceremonies and spiritual traditions. So information about their culture and their actual inner spiritual life is still very superficial and limited to a few aspects. Here, too, the Likatier wish for intensive personal contacts and friendships with Hopi tribe members and also a deepening and expansion of our knowledge about their real life.

As an external sign of the friendship and support felt by the Likatiern the likatische writing paper carries the writing "friends of the Hopi".
